News

June 12, 2001: The CSBC has decided to delay its announcement of its Official spokesperson til late July. The reason is that the CSBC is at work on CSBC v2. Version 2 of the site will be launched hopefully before the end of July with a look that will make the hardcore Revolutionites proud of. In the mean time the Book Revolution v1 will be update for the most part by NedFlanders. Hopefully those HTML books Ned has been reading nonstop for the past few weeks will help him keep the Revolutionites up to date.

June 11, 2001: They say imitation is the best form of flattery. Well the hardcore book readers of the CSBC do not believe that is true. A CS group has begun a clan and web site that are mocking our efforts of bringing the world of literay excitement to the CS community. Thats right folks, someone is mocking the the Book Revolution. Please, I know, you are angry and upset, but please, just calm down and relax. The CSBC has taken legal action against this group for copyright infringement as well as other legal claims. We will hopefully put this group who have besmirched the CSBC into their right place. We will no longer comment on this subject until further notice from our attorneys. Just a final plea. Revolutionites, I know hardcore book readers can be dangerous and angry individuals. But please, do not take any physical actions against this group. Be the better person and just read a book about getting revenge and inflicting physical harm.

June 11, 2001: Well after an exciting weekend of presenting exciting speeches to the youth of America I am back to provide a few bits of news. ShadrocK will start posting news items sometime today for all you hardcore Revolutionites. The press conference for the announcement of the Book Revolution's first official spokesperson is scheduled for Wendesday @ 3:30 a.m. A new newsboard should be up by the end of the week. This would allow NedFlanders to start posting news items. On a final note for all you hardcore book readers, I would like to thank the hundreds of emails I have received regarding the little tips and suggestions in each news bit. I never realize until now how many book readers I have touched and most importantly, saved their lives with my words. As always, thanks for the support and keep on reading those books...because books not only rule, but they save lives.

June 8, 2001: Last update for today and probably for the week. ShadrocK doe not start his role as Journalist til Monday and the seezar is going to be working hard giving speeches to the youth of America about the power of book reading. The CSBC recently announced the hiring of ShadrocK to become the official Journalist of the Book Revolution. The CSBC would now like to announce that we have reached an agreement with the person who will become the official Spokesperson of the CSBC. A press conference will be called this upcoming Wednesday with a ShadrocK holding MC. ShadrocK will also have an exclusive interview with the new spokesmodel as well as the Editors of the CSBC. Just a little reminder to the hardcore book readers. Please be careful while reading books and handling papers. A paper cut can be very dangerous and could prevent you from not only enjoying CS, but also from enjoying a good book.

June 8, 2001: Today is going to be a short news day because its a Friday night and its time to go hang out with some hardcore book readers at the library. The first bit of news is some exciting news. Out of the hundreds, no, thousands of applications we recieved for the role of CSBC Journalist, we have finally made a decision. The CSBC would like to welcome, straight out of CS retirement, the world renown ShadrocK. ShadrocK is an old school CS player and also a medal award winning book reader. ShadrocK has a BA in English Literature with a minor in Journalism. ShadrocK not only met the qualifictions we desired, but exceeded them. We at the CSBC believe that Shadrock will not only lead us the Revoutionites to the promise land, but will provide some great literature to the hardcore book readers of the CSBC. Welcome Shadrock to a new revolution...the Book Revolution.

June 7, 2001: Just wanted to provide the hardcore book readers of the CSBC with an update on the important matters going on in the Book Revolution. The applications are rolling in and hopefully I will have picked a new Revolutionite to become the first official Journalist of the CSBC. As far as the spokesmodel search is concerned, the CSBC is very close to a deal with a woman who is well known to the world as a hardcore book reader. CSBC is crossing their fingers and hoping for an announcement by Wednesday that will be accompanied by a press conference. Thats all the news from the CSBC. Remember, as a major safety precaution, please use the proper amount of light during your reading time. The CSBC needs as many hardcore book readers as possible and would hate to lose a CSBC member to poor eyesight.

June 7, 2001: The CSBC would like to announce an opening of a new position within the Book Revolution. Ever since the CSBC website has opened, the seezar has been doing all the news updates and its starting to take away from his reading time. The position of Journalist will rank second only behind the editors as that person will not only help with news updates and CSBC authored material, but he will be looked upon as a leader by the hardcore book readers of the CSBC. The qualifications for this job is to simply be able to read and write and also be trustworthy. If you feel you are qualified to be the Official Journalist of the CSBC send an email to csbc1@lycos.com with a resume and cover letter. Remember, the position of Journalist is not just a job, the person who fills this position will provide insight and words to the Revolutionites that could very well change their lives forever.

June 7, 2001: With this type of response the Book Revolution shall dominate the world of CS in no time. I would like to welcome an old friend cjones to the CSBC. Mr cjones is not a skilled CS player like a good part of the current Revolutionites, but he is one hell of a reader and thats all that really matters. Because being good at CS is good, but being a good book reader, well, thats just the ultimate.

June 7, 2001: Literally thousands of book readers have emailed CSBC asking who the first spokesmodel will be. Well I can only give out a few details right now. We have narrowed our choices considerably and entered into negotiations with two individuals. Now as I said before the choice will be made soley on the person's ability to read, not their beauty. Hopefully within the next day or so an announcement will be made and book readers all over the world will have an official spokesmodel to represent them.

June 7, 2001: Well lets add another Revolutionite to the cause. Durex is the newest book reader to join the CSBC. From the information gathered from several sources(NedFlanders), Durex is a very good CS player and a good book reader. Welcome Durex...to the Book Revolution.

June 7, 2001: The great news keeps on rollin, rollin, rollin in(shoutout to Ned's boy Fred Durst). There is no doubt that a big inspiration for the Book Revolution has been the efforts of Oprah Winfrey to get her audience to read. We have taken on this effort to the world of Counter-Strike and so far it has been met with huge and immediate success. Well today the CSBC would like to announce that Oprah has agreed to become the Official CSBC Spiritual Leader. All I have to say is this maybe the biggest news in the CSBC's short but legendary existance. In the upcoming weeks a shrine will be created in honor of the CSBC's spiritual leader. What a great day and thank you Oprah for help making the CSBC the leader in the CS Book Revolution.

June 7, 2001: Well its a new day and the CSBC has some super news. After what seemed like a lost cause, Bon Jovi & the CSBC have come to terms for the use of Wanted, Dead or Alive as the Official CSBC Recruiting theme. This is exciting news as not only is Bon Jovi a huge book reader, but the song Wanted, Dead or Alive fits perfectly with the CSBC's recruiting efforts. Because Dead or Alive, we want CS players to join the Book Revolution. Dont worry Revolutionites, an mp3 of the song will be available for the millions of hardcore book readers to download off the Downloads section. Take care and remember, Bon Jovi is cool, but Books Rule.

June 6, 2001: Another follower has joined The Book Revolution. CSBC welcomes Black Knight to the cause of getting CS players to read books. Black Knight provides diversity within the CSBC as he will contribute by providing literary insight to African American culture.

June 6, 2001: Well the CSBC has been filled with exciting news so far that it pains me to inform the hardcore book readers of some bad news. It seems that the deal to have Bon Jovi's Dead or Alive song become the official recruiting theme of the CSBC has fallen through. There is still a possibility of a deal being worked out that is fair to Bon Jovi and the Book Revolution but I can't promise anything.

June 6, 2001: CSBC has more exciting news to share with the millions of hardcore book readers. Today the Editors of the CSBC have begun a search for a spokesmodel of the CSBC. We are working hard with interviews and contract talks to bring the followers of the Book Revolution someone who they can identify their book obsessions with. Here is a promise, no, a guarantee, that the spokesmodel chose will not be based on looks or celebrity status but on their ability to read.

June 6, 2001: Well it definitely seems the Book Revolution is taking off. Today the CSBC received an email from the lead singer of Limp Bizkit. Fred Durst basically had one message for all the hardcore readers of the Book Revolution and that was "To Keep On Readin Baby". Who would have thought it, Fred Durst a book reader. I wasn't even sure he could read.

June 6, 2001: Another new author to join the ranks of the mighty CSBC. The Revolution welcomes kikasphalt to the ranks of hardcore book readers. kikasphalt moves to the rank of author via request of NedFlanders. I am sure kikasphalt will be a great contributer to the cause. As God rose from the clouds and the light reflected off him...God spoke and spoke only of these words..."Let there be BOOKS". AMEN!!!

June 5, 2001: Exciting things are happening within the CSBC and this nugget of news is no exception. CSBC has just enter in negotiations with Bon Jovi to have the song "Wanted Dead or Alive" as the CSBC's recruiting theme song. The Book Revolution wants CS book readers whether they are Dead or Alive and whether Dead or Alive...Books Rule.

June 5, 2001: The first 2 hardcore book readers have joined the Book Revolution. Welcome aph3x twin and COJOI. aph3x moves to author status via NedFlander's request and COJOI enters in the CSBC as a novelist. They should both be excellent represntatives of the Book Movement.

June 5, 2001: We are happy to announce that CSBC and REO Speedwagon have come to terms for the use of the song "Can't Fight This Feeling" as the new CSBC reading theme song. This does not change the status of Journey as the official music of the CSBC. We have just decided to exercise our option and allow other bands to represent the Book Revolution.

June 5, 2001: Our new exciting Forum is up via Gamers.com.

June 4, 2001: The Book Revolution comes a reality on the Internet.

June 1, 2001: Journey becomes the official music of the CSBC. Be Good To Yourself...Read a Book!!!

May ?, 2001: The Brainchild of Seezar & NedFlanders is born. The Book Revolution Begins...
